TomoShop® version 5.0 is released!

The latest version of TomoShop®, version 5.0, is now available.
The items to be added / improved are described below.

Reconstruction function:

1. Performance improvement of ring artifact reduction function: The number of images that can correct variation images that cause ring artifacts and vertical artifacts has been expanded to 1024.
2. Reconstruction range position feedback function: A function has been added that allows the reconstruction range position to be easily set in order to improve the convenience of local reconstruction and zoom reconstruction.
3. CT imaging initial angle alignment function: A CT imaging initial angle alignment function has been added using markers (steel balls, etc.).
   * Vertical multi-X-ray source CT reconstruction that can take elongated samples has become a standard feature of F3 edition and above.

Slice / 3D image editing:

1. Clipping function using free curves: Use free curves to erase unnecessary objects on a 3D screen.
2. Smoothing function: A high-speed smoothing function has been added to the isosurface (mesh, STL, etc.).

File operation:

1. Added original volume format .svol. This format allows you to add a password as a security measure. In addition, Zip and Jpeg2000 that can compress the data to be saved have been newly set.
2. Volume merging has increased the number of volumes that can be merged.

Others:

1. Video creation function: A video creation function from the rendering screen has been added.
2. Defect detection automatic coloring function: Defect parts are displayed in different colors.
3. “GUI customization” function: It is now possible to set the number of digits of the length measurement result and the display color of the measurement.
4. Viewer Lab edition is newly added to the Viewer series.
